    Sincere and Sweet

I first watched this at a club activity and was pleasantly surprised to find a very sweet and sincere story about being a high school girl who ends up in love with her friend. The characters are extremely likable and engaging, and really help suck you into the story. The sci-fi is light and not off-putting at all when it comes to the time traveling. Also, the art is refreshing, personally I was reminded of "Fooly Cooly," and there are some beautifully done scenes in terms of animation.
It might help to know that this film is a sort of sequel to the original Japanese light novels which starred this heroine's "Aunty-Witch."
The depictions of the Japanese school system are the most true to life I've ever witnessed in an anime too, so it's a pretty good showcase of school culture.
All in all, it's a very good movie and I'm very happy to own the DVD now. Oh right, it's not necessarily shoujo genre, I know quite a few guys who really enjoyed watching it, and were actually the most "moved" at the ending. The girls in the club I watched it with felt that they really understood the film and that the heroine was a positive portrayal of an average girl.
You should definitely add this to your anime collection! (Watching in the Japanese dub is best, but the English dub did alright.)
