    A zany Eastern Western

The bounty hunter is the only one dressed like a cowboy in this rollicking 1940s treasure hunt in Manchuria. The villain, dashing but always lethal and merciless, is the best-dressed and the "weird" award certainly goes to a bumbling yet invincible scavenger/vagrant who, in the final moments, is revealed to be anything but harmless. A first-rate popcorn flick with a tremendous budget, chock-full of action, stunts, gunfights and explosions. Suspend disbelief when Mr. Bounty Hunter rides on horseback through an array of Japanese soldiers and takes out an awful lot of them while never getting so much as a scratch - but laugh gleefully as the oddball dons a deep-sea diving helmet and gets knocked around from bullets slamming into the protective metal. At times inventive, at other times cliche, it's still quite an accomplishment.

    Not Bad!

I have not seen a whole lot of Korean movies, but this one, I can say, I rather liked. I have seen Clint Eastwood's The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly before many times, which is a great classic! This was a cool, more action packed take off that movie. I still hold the original in the highest regard, but this one was very entertaining in and of itself. If u like foreign movies like this and/or are familiar with The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly...give this movie a watch. It's pretty cool.

    Best Korean movie I've seen

I first saw this at the International Film Festival in Dallas. This is a fun Korean western. The ingenuity in crafting the action scenes in this film makes it a joy to watch. Photography is great. The lead actors are good and the plot while a little silly is easy to follow for the most part. The soundtrack is great. The violence is strong and was a little hard to watch at times. Long but pure fun for the most part! Did I mention Byung-hun Lee is hot? I couldn't deny how ridiculously good looking he was.
