Amy Redford's (Robert's daughter) film is a wonderful piece of escapism. Saffron Burrows' Melody Wilder is a woman faced with impossible choices at the beginning of the film. Given a death sentence, she begins to really live by abandoning all conventions. Burrows' performance is sexy, beautiful and touching. It is all cliche. Was this review helpful? Paz de la Huerta is the surprise in the film. Without giving anything anyway, she is a marvel to watch in this film. Music lovers, artists should enjoy this small film. I consider it a promising start for Redford and look forward to her next work.
The downside is some lighting in some scenes, and the overall cliche of the script. Real life isn't so optimistic. It is fun to watch and Burrows' plays it well.
