    BEST CHRISTMAS SHOW EVER!!!!

This by far was one of my favorite Christmas Classics!!!! This is when TV was considered good TV!!!! They don't make them any better than this. This was watched by my whole family every year it was on. I'm happy to own it and carry on the tradition with my children, and hopefully they'll be able to carry on with theirs.

    Should Be Standard Holiday Fare

This movie, just like It's a Wonderful Life, deserves to be shown every Christmas. Though not a Walton's TV show fan, I love this movie.

    Beautiful movie with great moments

This movie is one of the holiday greats. But, I'll admit, when I was younger, when my mom would say, 'Hey, we're going to watch the Homecoming' I would scream and run from the room (not the case any more!) but when I was in 9th grade (I'm a big ol' Sophomore now!) and I've gotten hooked on the Waltons, I watch it every afternoon when I get home from school (darn Hallmark, they took it off at 5 and put Little House on...I curse them!)This movie is still, and always will be a favorite in my parents house, and in my house when I get older.

    About Time!

I often wondered why the company that owned the rights to this left it unreleased for sooooo long, while people have been buying and selling used VHS copies on the internet for 50 bucks apiece. Now we know who you are (shame on you). Better buy your copy quick before it's out of print again! This was the 1971 made for TV movie that spawned the Walton's TV series. Patricia Neal, however played the mother and I believe won an Emmy for the role (the father and grandpa were also replaced for the series, but the kids are the same). It is set in rural Virginia during the depression and is a story about a large, tight-knit family preparing for Christmas. Thier father is working 60 miles away and is supposed to return Christmas Eve. When the the news of a bus crash is heard on the radio, the mother sends her oldest son to search for him. As Christmas movies go, (like the folks in rural VA still say) it don't get no better than this. See why people paid 50 bucks to see this again (gee, I'm glad I waited, but will never figure out why I had to wait so long).
