The Margaret Thatcher Story
Iron Lady, is a movie on Prime Minister Thatcher's life after her political career as one of the british great PMs, likened to Churchill. It shows flashbacks to fit past events in her life into the film bio. The pacing is excellent as this movie is suppose to show Margaret as an old lady retired from office trying to recall her life as they unfold before her eyes. Meryl Streep, is at her best once again and she is Margaret, in every step of the way in the entire movie. From production design to make up to costume, this movie touches the heart and soul of the viewer. The scene and dialogue is heartwarming hoping to convey the Thatcher's being as a person and as somebody who loves her country above all. Watching the scenes makes someone think that Baroness Margaret rose from a famous public servant winning the election to a great leader of her country who led it in a difficult period and time. This movie is highly recommended for Thatcher fans as well as those interested in modern british history!!

I saw this movie in the theatre. It was a muddled mess. Story, screenplay and editing are the culprits. Although it won the Oscar for best make-up, that must have been a total political move. Of course, Meryl Streep gives another excellent perfect performance (as expected, ho hum). But I couldn't wait for this movie to be over with.
