classic disney movie

I think people of all ages are able to appreciate this film. I watched this as a young child and I still watch today (I am 25). It is a classic. Every girl identifies with Ariel and the music is amazing. I also have the soundtrack. I recommend this to everyone, especial...

Again disney has ruined the story line for future generations, and this supports my theory of disney hating women. Think about it, if the female characters are not brutally killed they are dumb, or desperately need some guy and marriage completes them. The last thing I want is to have my toddler obsessed with kissing, dying to get married, and thinking you have to wear a princess dress to be pretty! Not to mention the Villains, do you have to terrify the toddlers! What about the memorable disney phrase that's splattered about "Fish are friends Not food" Thanks for another one disney!

    Great movie, but poor quality

As a movie (art, design, music, etc.) I adore it. It was a favourite of mine growing up, and still is, but, I cannot say that I like this DVD. As usual, Disney's digital restorations are poorly done. There isn't much difference, but their reds were poorly handled, turning pink in the strangest moments, becoming ultra-bright, or becoming a very bloody red. They had the same problem with Sleeping Beauty, The Lion King, and Alice In Wonderland. I guess that I cannot reccomend any of Disney's current rereleases for fear of other colour sensitive people buying them then wishing that they could bang their head against the wall. It's still a great movie, but the quality is worse than that of the video. If you can, get it on VHS. By the way, I returned my copy of this DVD.
