    Impressive and wonderful!

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King was an impressive movie of the Tolkien classic trilogy. The entertainment of the film keeps your attention making you want to find out where our famous heroes will end up next in the journey. The battle scenes are thrilling and the costumes and make-up for every character are superior. The scenes are priceless as well. I also thought this movie had a very comedic side to it too. Merry and Pippin sing on a table with jugs in their hands and Gollum with his split-personality still ponders over whether he should steal his back his ‘precious’ from Frodo. The movie is also a long one with a running of over three hours. You really think that the movie ends when something exciting happens, but be aware that you’ll be in for another half an hour! And not being a total LoTR fan, I have to say that I think the final film, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, is my favorite of the trilogy.

    great, but not fantabulous

hmm.. i wouldnt say it was the best of the movie trilogy, but it was pretty darn good. i had read the trilogy a couple years beforehand, and i must say that i was a bit dissapointed with jackson's interpretation of rotk, but in all honesty it is just nitpicking. these movies are some of the greats.

    Good, but not perfect...

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King was in general a spectacular movie, but if you have read the books, you will notice that some important things just weren't important enough for Peter Jackson. For example, some of you who never read the books can answer this question: Where did Saruman go? To the Shire, of course! Then when the hobbits return, they revolt! But, once again, who cares how the story really ended or where the people (or hobbits) went? Not Peter Jackson. Anyway, it was a good movie in special effects and most of the story was true, just not all.

    Very Good but Overrated

If you have read the LOTR books then you know that the movies, especially this one, change things for no apparent reason, not just to cut time as they sometimes added into the plot. The movie crams in a lot of story and would have done better as two movies for The Return of the King. The ending is especially cut down and chopped up. However, the effects, settings, acting and spectacle all in good supply which makes this a good movie.
