Nice addition to the Mummy family of movies.

All the best parts of a Mummy movie are included - cool locations, action, the undead, and a little hook at the end for a potential next movie. A great popcorn movie, great special effects, and if you are a Jet Li fan (like me) it is a special treat. The real locations in China make this one special, and this version with the "making of" additions is a nice extra worth watching. Seeing how it is done doesn't spoil the fun of watching the movie (at least for me).

    Greatest Mummy Movie Ever!

It's been 7 years since the last Mummy movie and a lot has changed. Rick (Brendan Fraser) has divorced his wife Evelyn (Rachel Weisz) and married another woman named Evelyn (Maria Bello). Their son (Jet Li) gets his mom and dad in trouble after he reads the script out loud and it provokes Mummies from all over the world to come alive (but mainly mummies from China before the Olympics). The Serpent Emperor of the title can turn himself into a serpent whenever he feels like it, which is a lot. Rick and Evelyn (still played by Brendan Fraser and Maria Bello) take a magic sword they found somewhere and chop off the Serpent Emperor's head which really makes the Serpent Emperor mad but he can't do anything about it because his head is chopped off, so what can he do really? Not much. And with that the movie comes to an abrupt end.

Mummy 3 Doesn't Live Up to the First 2 Mummy Movies

This movie was not fun as the first two movies in the series but it was still a decent time. It was at least better than The Scorpion King, but that's not really saying much. The CGI wasn't as bad as people made it sound. The one question I have to ask is: What happened to Brandon Fraser's wit? That's a big part of what made the first two films so entertaining, but it was almost non-existent in this movie. Maria Bello does a decent job replacing Rachel Weisz, but face it, no matter how good she did, people weren't gonna like losing Weisz. The chemistry between Fraser and Bello wasn't as good as it was between him and Weisz anyway. Also, whoever played Fraser's son was so-so at best. In closing, see it for the spectacle and entertainment value, not for the acting.

    Not Worth It

A huge disappointment. The script, the music, the acting... I loved the first and second movies, but this was a disaster. It felt as if they made the movie in a day, script-wise. Little thought put into it and the funny lines attempted seemed pushed and in the wrong place. I would recommend renting it, not buying it.

The Mummy, tomb of the Dragon Emperior

Not quite as good as the original two Mummy movies but action packed nonetheless. It is a shame that all of the original cast were not in this movie. The "new" wife was not as good as the original played by Rachel Weisz.

    Never too many Mummies!

I really enjoyed this movie. I like action movies and if you throw in a lost civilization I'm a happy camper. I enjoyed the time period of the movie. I could relate to the what do we do now that we are retired feeling.

Okay so every critic pans it

I know, I know, it was panned (like another sequel) but I liked it a lot.
I have found that most of the time, if the critics don't like it, I might.
This is one of those movies.
It is not Oscar material but it is fun and fast paced and that is what I want in a movie.
