    A reviewer

sharon stone was ultra cool as a gunslinger out for revenge over the death of her father but she also brings a dose of justice to the corrupt killer gene hackman as he holds a whole town hostage with his henchmen. leonardo dicaprio plays " the kid," and the motive for his being in this shooting contest is to win the respect of his father, the killer gene hackman. unfortunately, the kid gets killed off in his quest to receive the manly respect he seeks. the story was great and russell crowe who plays the former killer now turned redeemed preacher was fabulous too. don't miss this movie!

    Fun But Sad

This movie isn't meant to be your average western drama. It's meant to be a charasmatic, spaggetti western, with a great cast. And it works. The best character in this movie is 'The Kid'. But I didn't like the film so much when he died. He was the best part and his character was so cool, that taking him out killed me. Gene Hackman was good as always and so was Sharon Stone and Russel Crowe. The movie is played very well and it works. Kid's death is the saddest thing in this movie because he was so energetic and entertaining.
