    GREAT FAMILY MOVIE!

My husband first introduced me to this movie forty years ago. He came from a family of 5 brothers and 2 sisters. He and his brothers all served in the military, but different branches of it. This movie really hit home with him; he cannot watch it without shedding a few tears at the end. It's a down-to-earth story of an American family, so true-to-life and entertaining. I love it when the boys are young. Our daughter has a family of six children, ages 9 months up to 10 years old. She also loves this movie and has shared it with her family so it will be passed down with the generations. I was so glad it came out on DVD as our tape of it was getting old. The Sullivan Act was put into law because of the outcome of these boys so that no other family would have to endure that kind of heartbreak. This is a great story.

    A Great WWII Movie

This movie is based on a true story, about a real family during WWII. It's a very good one to see! It follows five brothers through their childhood, and shows their family life, so the entire movie does not take place during the war. Even if you're not crazy about war movies, you'd still like this. Warning: it's pretty sad at the end.
