How the electoral process was corrupted

I found this to be an revealing and informative look at how the Republican Party gathered resources from all over the country to 'protest' the recounts, how Jeb Bush used his office (the people in his administration, including Katherine Harris) to 'get' Gore, and how the Supreme Court abdicated the 'rule of law' to suit the political interests of the Justices. Particularly eye-opening was how Harris and Bush instructed the hired database company to select and purge thousands from the voter rolls: limit matches to the first few letters of the first and last name, no middle initial, no birthdate, etc. This assured chaos and exclusion of thousands of (likely Democratic) voters. This shows clearly how the Republican Party manipulated the electoral process for their own purposes, without regard for the best interests of the people or the law of this country.

This movie is motivation to get involved, stay informed and make a difference.

A wonderful and informative look at the unbelievable happenings which occurred in Florida during the 2000 Presidential election. The filmmakers used many sources and included interviews with several people who were incorrectly not allowed to vote in the election due to very questionable decisions/tactics of the Florida government. The filmmakers also, through interviews with several experts, research the fact that it was Al Gore himself (acting on the advice of his staff) who made the decision to recount only part of the votes, rather than whole state, which is probably what sealed his fate. All in all, the movie is very well put together. Some may say it has a partisan view of the issue but, then again, only one party was adversely affected by the decisions/actions made during the 2000 Presidential election, wasn't it?

    Stolen

I haven't seen the full movie yet, but I have seen the preview on the NOFX album, ''The War On Errorism.'' This movie is destined to be one of the most important documentaries of our generation. It should be viewed by everyone in the United States, to prevent further destruction of democracy.
