This Is What Brilliance Looks Like
I saw this special on HBO and can't wait to get the DVD. She seamlessly goes from one character to another and takes the audience on a journey unlike no other. I had tears from laughter and tears from poignancy. "Lurlene's" journey throughout womanhood is not to be missed...nor when she plays a handicapped woman about to be married. This concert shows you why Whoopi Goldberg is not only one of our most talented actresses, but she handles her comedy on her own terms. So I wasn't very surprised while reading the credits that there was no "team" that wrote this...she wrote everything herself. This is the kind of entertainment I've yearned for and missed for a long time...the kind that comes from the heart. Welcome back, Whoopi! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
