    Not for my preschooler

This is just a collection of learning poses. There are big breaks in between. If you are looking for a flowing routine, this is NOT IT. My preschooler (3) who loves yoga hated this. It did not keep his attention and I thought it was boring too. Wish I knew this before I bought it.

my three year old loves this

We borrowed this from the library and my three year old keeps wanting to check it out over and over. He will ask to 'do yoga' now and break out into stretches. This is not going to teach exact technique, but does inspire little ones to stretch and move and to develop an interest in yoga. After checking it out several times I am ready to just buy it since it is such a favorite. Each pose is held briefly and usually compared to imitating an animal, just perfect for the three to four year old attention span. When I do it with my son, it makes a nice stretching routine for myself.

Great for use in the classroom

I am a school based Occupational Therapist and have used this video to guide classroom exercises in yoga for Pre-K and K students. It keeps them engaged, provides a fun sensory break, and offers a challenge in motor planning, balance, and body awareness. The focus of the program is on the process of having fun with your body, while connecting with nature and the world around us, not on building yoga technique. This is an ideal approach in introducing yoga to this age group.

Not a good introduction to yoga!

Very nice scenery, poorly done yoga. There is too much time explaining poses or yoga concepts with nothing to do. Also, she doesn't take the kids out of all the poses, just fades out to the next explanation. My 4 year old asked me to turn it off after 4 poses, I finally did after about 7. I wish I had not spent money on it.
