Daddy Loves His Little Girl

Beautiful book

I have been a fan of John Carter's children books since his first, "Momma Loves Her Little Son". I bought it for my wife last year and we have read it to our five year old numerous times. I bought his new book yesterday and went online today to put up a review and was surprised by the Kirkus review. It is a wonderful book. I would recommend it to anyone. Kirkus, who is usually a together organization has misquoted the book! Of course they are due their opinion, but they should at least read the text twice before quoting it. It is "Bluebird's whistle" and not "Bluebeard's whistle" as they have in their review. Unbelievable. This book is a beautiful accomplishment and I love Marc Burckhardt's artwork. It is magical journey. I read it the first time to my little girl last night. When we finished, she said: "Read it again, Daddy!" That's enough proof for me that it's up to par...

My dad loves this book

Great Book

There are so many books out there about fathers and sons I was happy to find one about daddies and little girls. I purchased this for a Father's Day gift and I can't wait for my husband to read it to our daughter. It is a wonderful book. I also can't believe that it was misquoted - bluebird is much different from Bluebeard. They should re-do their review.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Mr. Cash for publishing this wonderful book! There are so many books about mothers and children but clearly not enough quality ones that describe the magical relationship between a father and a daughter.

I highly recommend this book. My daughter and I purchased it for Father's Day but ended up reading it early. It's that good.
