Great Read and Project Starter for Preschoolers

I read this book to a large group of four year olds. They barely moved a muscle while they were entranced through the whole story. Afterwards, we talked about it, lessons learned, what we would have done the same or what we would have done differently. We then made our own art projects and the children ran around with daisies coming out of their own heads the rest of the day. On the way to the playground they chanted, "Daisey Head, Daisey Head, Daisey Head Mayzie!" They wanted to read it over and over again. When I had my own child, I bought the book for him. He had a very similar reaction. We have read it many times and will pass it on to the baby sister as soon as she's old enough to understand it.

    Beautifully Concieved Entertainment.

I've seen the animated special's debut, 'Daisy-Head Mayzie' on television. I read the actual tale two years later. Even after all that, I still like it! 'Daisy-Head Mayzie' is interesting, endearing entertainment that I'd recommened for kids of all ages. The tale basically shows humor of a girl named Mayzie McGrew growing a daisy from her head, and moralizes happiness to all its readers. 'Daisy-Head Mayzie' is a funny and inspiring tale that would blend in perfectly with all the other Dr. Seuss classics.
