I enjoyed the story, this is an insight into another of the Ferro Brother's. First, it was Sean Ferro, now we get to read the story of Peter. Sindney's background is not for everyone, I certainly see this as an easy read and although the story plot is interesting, sometimes it gets a bit annoying the way Sidney thinks. The author tried to get some humor writing about a squirrel attack in the restaurant bathroom. The professor-student relationship, well I have read a couple before and is nothing new. Just about the same stuff and the way they meet, at a restaurant not knowing who Peter is until she gets back to school is what caught me at the beginning of the story. How their relationship is built is what I mostly expected, but wanted to read more action and angst. The audiobook was pretty good so I recommend it, the reader's voice is quite clear and I ike how she managed to make voice changing so you don't get lost into whom is speaking. Looking forward for the next one

Unfortunately you have to deal with the cliffhanger ending, but it was well written. Another good thing about the book is you couldn't guess what was going to happen next.

    Review: Damaged

This is the first book I have read by this author. While Sidney annoyed me by always being so freaking fragile, I also bought the story line because she was so damaged. As more was revealed about her past the more understandable her behavior became. I'm not an overly critical reader. I don't mind formulaic stories and the typical HEA plots, so when something is a little different it rocks the boat a little. I enjoyed this book enough that I am eagerly awaiting the release of book 2 in the series and that I am also reading another book/series by H. M. Ward called The Arrangement. Definitely worth the time!
