    A Classic Example

Of desperation! Janet Jackson should make up her mind. She's either a 40-ish stripper/xxx-Artist or a serious singer. She also should have checked Britney Spears record sales (sinking like quicksand) before she did this cd. At one time I really loved her music. But Jackson is yet another has-been who'll grab the headlines for outrageous behavior, then pay no attention whatsoever to the lyrics in the music. Shock jocks are now barred from the radio. This will be too. I do understand that there's a big market for this kinda music...from Prisons all over the country. GET ANOTHER MANAGER AND SONGWRITER JANET or your career will be sinking along with Spears'.

Damita Jo-As Ecletic as the Name

I believe this is one of the best yet. I have bought everyone of Janet's albums since Control and have never been disappointed. The songs on Damita Jo all seem like they are borrowed from some of Janet's older music, yet each new song has its own unique feel. My favorites are Damita Jo and All Night-Don't Stop. I also can't get enough of I Want You and Just a Little While. As in all of her albums before Janet talks between songs, sometimes just for laughs and sometimes to read poetry.(personal I hope) She has done this in all of her old albums and you feel as if you're really getting to know the real Janet and that she's really bonding with you. Silly, but it's true. As I said before Damita Jo and All Night (Don't Stop) are two of my favorites. I can just picture Janet dancing to those tunes. (They have the best beat). Another one that needs mentioning is Spending Time With You. It has a laid back kind of groove like That's the Way Love Goes. Also I catch myself getting hooked on Like You Don't Love Me,which isn't about what you think. I like the attitude in Janet's voice in this song. It definitely has spunk. Whether your an older fan or a brand new one you will not be disappointed in Damita Jo. I listen to it driving down the road and I listen to it while working out. It it that good.
