Uptown girl from Scarsdale meets down-home boy from Climax
Cayle is a dedicated physical therapist with alcohol and chemical dependency in his past; he's come into his own, however, overcoming a sickly childhood and outgrowing the shadow of Zach¿his favored, star athlete older brother, seriously injured and crippled in a HS football game. Sharise is a talented dancer overcoming a troubled childhood of her own, born in the shadow of her mother's death and raised by her grief-stricken but driven single father, Thomas Keller. Incorrigible and headstrong, Sharise has given Keller¿a rich and successful arts and antiques dealer¿more than enough reasons to be disapproving, the worst of which is when she gets herself seriously injured in a reckless motorcycle accident, jeopardizing not only her career but her life. A simple and straightforward story of a spoiled rich debutante and a working class 'bad boy' from the wrong side of the tracks, 'Dancing in the Dark' is made unique and memorable by the colorful and universal characters with which it is peopled, one of the most memorable being Ella¿Sharise and Keller's housekeeper and a southern-bred, no-nonsense kindred spirit to Cayle¿who helps the battling couple on their journey from the dark to the light and love. A wonderful tale of redemption, healing and self-discovery.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
