Convicting and Sin-revealing
Pros: One of the most personally convicting books I've read in a long time. Every pastor and ministry leader ought to read this. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
Cons: The book is too list heavy. There is a list for every problem. Lists make note-taking easier but not all problems can be solved by remembering bulleted lists. Trip's writing style is very personal until he begins with the lists. The constant listing makes the book feel more clinical and less personal during those sections.
Also for someone who is a good writer, it was odd to notice the overuse of the word "functional /functionally." At times the word didn't even seem to fit the sentence.
Writing style aside the convicting and sin-revealing nature of this book causes me to highly recommend it to everyone in ministry. Read with an open mind and a soft heart.
