Although this is listed as book 1, the review is for the entire trilogy. It consists of three books:
    Dark Matter Heart
    From Out Of Chaos
    Paths Of Thorn And Flame
If you are going to read these books they should be read in order as each builds on characters from the other books and if read as a stand alone, there will be a lot the reader doesn't know about the characters.
Mr Wrann has an interesting twist on the characters as the main hero is a hybrid vampire, who doesn't want to be one. He just wants to remain invisible and not noticed but such is not his luck. He ends up having the usual teenager problems with girls, bullies and with luck also have one good and true friend. Also he has two different groups of vampire hunters chasing him. As I said each book builds upon the one before. Will our hero survive? If he does will he finish school or get a girl or find out who and what he is? Read to find out.

    Creepy good fun!

Great characters and a plot that sinks sharp teeth in and won't let go! Can't wait to read the next one. The only thing that takes away from it it poor editing and a few grammatical errors. In spite of those I highly recommend this book for all lovers of YA paranormal romance.
