What do vampires, the oddities of Tim Burton and the ever adapta

What do vampires, the oddities of Tim Burton and the ever adaptable Johnny Depp all have in common? No, not another claymation or pirate movie, but in fact, one of the most mind numbing, unusual, melodramatic Gothic romance soap operas to hit the television set ever: Dark Shadows. While I live and breathe the oddities of the macabre Tim Burton and other sorts, I shamelessly admit  the 1966 television show is flat-out awful, so when the movie was released, I wasn’t sure what was in store for me. Seeing as it is a Burton film, it just had to be phenomenally exquisite. And it was and so much more.
“Racing home from school to watch this odd Gothic soap opera on TV every afternoon was a very memorable experience for me (it also made me a lousy student because I avoided doing my homework).” Tim Burton
The Dark Shadows: The Visual Companion is a full-size, hardbound book flourishing with page after page of vivid photos and synopses. This book takes you deep into the magical world of movie making from one of the most brilliant artists of this century, Tim Burton. Alongside the talented Johnny Depp, he hosts a talented team that was able to bring five years worth of television story line into a full-length feature film.

The best part of this book is nothing is left out. From sketch-ups, visual effects, to all of the behind the scenes details, this book includes everything, giving readers the opportunity to see and feel all of the time and adventure put into films as well as the creative flair required to entertain millions of people. Even if I were not a fan of the television show, it is most difficult to not love this movie in all its macabre glory. And what a conversation piece this book will add to your personal library.
