    Disappointing

First I must say, I love the Dark-Hunter series but, Dark Side of the Moon left me wondering if this was part one of a two part novel. This book seemed rushed and left too many things hanging. I will continue to read this series and look forward to the next book.

    Save your money

I felt excited when I first began the book, but soon became let down by the second chapter. I thought that it would be mysterious, funny, erotic, and suspenseful all in one book. I learned that the female character is so annoying and self absorbed and the elements in the book are just really stupid. If you're looking for a vampire novel, just stick to the classics, they can never fail you.

Where oh where has Sherrilyn Kenyon gone?

I am a fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon and her Dark-Hunter stories and their characters hold a place near and dear to my heart but her last few books have fallen flat and this hardback is no exception. Our heroine seems to be too perfect, our hero is foolish and the appearance by Acheron is merely a shadow of the character we know and love. I have started re-reading the entire series to see where it feels like ground rules were laid out that are now being bent if not totally broken and found a charming surprise. In Julien's book I fell in love all over again and in Kyrian's book I learned how and why the dark-hunters do what they do. I also met an endearing young man named Nick Gautier that would give his life willingly in service of Kyrian and the dark-hunter's he protects. In Talon's book I met a friend in Ash who could compel me to believe all this Dark-Hunter world. And as I continue my journey I keep hoping that Sherrilyn Kenyon sometimes does the same. To revisit all of these characters that we know and love might remind her why she has the fan base to write her first hardback and what she might still be capable of writing in the future.
