Both young and old will enjoy this story┬┐

Zoe is looking down a well on her grandmother¿s farm suddenly, she falls in. When she cries out to God for help, He sends Kristo and Kitia. Ophis is determined to steal her soul. Can she resist the temptations that he offers? Dark Well of Decision has strong Christian overtones. Anne Kimberly weaves a beautiful tale of fantasy. Dark Well of Decision uses biblical stories throughout her plot. In simple terms, she explains our relationship with Jesus Christ. I am reminded of the song ¿The Name of Jesus.¿ Both adults and children will enjoy Dark Well of Decision.

    A magical tale

Thirteen-year-old Zoe lives in the country on a beautiful farm and is kept company by her grandmother and her two geese. When her chores are done, she¿s given the freedom to roam the woods and fields like a child of the fifties and learns to love every aspect of nature. But Zoe doesn¿t escape the usual trials of becoming a teenager. She questions her value as a young woman, feeling unattractive and comparing herself to the perfect and impossible standards seen on billboards and television. She tries hard to be a good person, helping her grandmother on the farm while her parents work hard at their respective jobs. Yet she can¿t help question her grandmother¿s unswerving faith. Does God really exist? Does he know she¿s suffering? Does he care? Questions plaque the young lady at an alarming rate, in concert with the new hormones that race throughout her body, lending emotional highs and lows typical of children at this age. When she stops to peer down into an old well on her grandparents¿ property, she sees a glimmer of something in the darkness that wasn¿t there before. She looks harder, and harder¿ yet the vision isn¿t clear. Finally, with all her concentration, she strains her eyes and focuses down deep in the well, and is immediately drawn through a tiny hole to the cold water on the bottom of the well. Crying out for God¿s help after hours standing in the frigid water, Zoe almost gives up. No one hears her, and she fears all is lost. Yet after a particularly soulful plea to the Almighty, she spies a tiny balcony on the side of the well that she hadn¿t seen earlier. This begins Zoe¿s magical adventure into the land of ¿¿, where she meets people from a miniature subterranean culture, including the kindly ¿. And ¿.. With their love and support, Zoe learns about their purpose in life and is given an unexpected new respect for every tiny morsel that nature prepares in the ground above. From a single currant berry to the soft down of a dandelion, these people use each gift from God with care and gratitude. Zoe¿s real test comes when faced with a ¿rescue¿ that swims before her eyes with great allure. A beautiful woman, a table laden with luscious feasts, the warmth of the sunshine, her grandparents¿ farm¿ But is it real? With great inner strength, Zoe recognizes the dangers of evil and restores her faith in God. Anne Kimberly has written a magical tale that held the interest of this adult. Recommended as a book to read to young ones as well as perfectly suited for teenagers.

    a wonderful book

I loved the way this book explained the concept of God to a young girl. Wonderfully written, it is both imaginative and truthful & has elements of other childhood favorites such as Alice In Wonderland, The Borrowers & The Hobbit.

    A Magical and Emotional Read

This up and coming author has an amazing way with words and pulls the reader into a tangible reality. Dark Well of Decision was an easy read and I think this book would be of great value to the pre-teen audience as the main character is a girl who is struggling to find herself and her beliefs. Her whimsical journey keeps you on the edge of your seat! A great gift indeed.

What a wonderful book! This title is filled with virtuous endeavors, adventure, suspense, humor, and everything that makes it impossible to put down. It is about trust and, ultimately, who we really are and what we are. The book is very well written & holds a child's attention which can be hard to do. A fantastic family read!

    Inventive Story

I found the story of Dark Well of Decision very good. The discriptions were very well done and the characters were ones that were easy to relate to. Mrs. Kimberly puts the reader into the story and causes them to realize that a decision is needed in their own life.

    Purposefully Written

The attention to detail made it very easy for me to fall into this young girls life story. It took me back to my moment of decision with God. Life has been painful at times and I have often allowed that pain to pad my soul in an effort to protect myself. The vivid discovery process made me not want to stop reading. Thank you for taking me back to that tender place of surrender and the gentle reminder of purpose in life.
