I have been long awaiting the release of Darkness Falls, and I really enjoyed the book and found that it was worth the wait! Kayla is a great strong female character who encounters many trials and tribulations during the first installment of the Darkness Falls Series. I can't wait to find out what happens to Kayla in the next book of the series and can't wait to learn more about not only Kayla's past, but also more about Aiden and Sylas.

Good read, but what is with the typos?

    Disappointing

I thought the book was going to be good based on the description. But after reading it, I was clearly mistaken. It got really old after a couple of chapters because "everyone's out to get her, everyone is lying to her, blah, blah, blah". And the plot was kind of unoriginal too. I mean a teenage girl who hunts vampires, "rebels" aginst the system, and has a forbidden love? It sounded like the author took a bunch of aspects that she liked from other books and mashed them all together into one, vey poor book. It is not worth your time.

    Horrible

I think the biggest problem with her books is the e-pub status and extreme lack of any outside editing whatsoever.

This book in particular, the grammar (especially the quotation grammar) was atrocious. Maybe if the authoress would find a beta-reader or freelance editor her books might not be so bad.

The plot was meh. Barely enough to be considered interesting and not good enough by far to keep reading with all the obvious and glaring mistakes.

If I need good vampire books, I'll stick with the Vampire Hunter D novels.
