How is this a SURVIVAL GUIDE??!!

This book was absolutely aweful! There was not one bit of advice to help DIL's strained relationships with their MILs!!! NOT ONE BIT OF ADVICE OR INSIGHT. Instead I was reading about minor issues and people's family histories. A total waste of time!!!

    Great book but

I loved this book and found it very helpful in my own situation as a daughter in law, but I have several friends who have horrible relationships whith their sons because of demanding, jealous and cruel daughter-in-laws. Should I be dreading my own sons marriage? These girls seemed wonderful at first. Where is the book for new mother-in-laws??

Made me feel worse about my relationship with my MIL

This book raised some good points, however, there were way too many stories of women who had what I consider to be extremely minor problems with their mothers in law and mostly had good relationships with ther MIL's. Didn't find much about how to resolve issues or psychological insights that would prove helpful in a more challenging situation.

    Very helpful

I am so glad I bought this book!!! First of all I've read it within 3 days or I should say I studied this book. I underlined every single sentence and word I thought was important for me to learn. I was hungry for this book. I would definitely recommend this book to every daughter-in-law who sufferes from their mother-in-law. The book is helpful and I found it very good that after chapters there are Summary Questions. Good book!!
