    Excellent

Much better than I expected going into it . Great plot, interesting characters, cool way of tying in the historical events. A book for intelligent readers looking for something other than werewolves, vampires, and similar crap. Will be on the lookout for the author's next book. Really liked the premise of the three swords and their interplay, but hope that the strong impression that this book left on me will not be dilluted by poorly executed sequel(s).

    It draws you in.

The culture is different enough to make you think while the story draws you in deeper and deeper.

To echo one of the other reviews here, much better than I expect

To echo one of the other reviews here, much better than I expected it would be. Although I had gone in with the hopes that there would be more fantasy than was actually featured in the book, the interesting characters, great setting, attention to detail and overall great story had me staying up late just to get a little further. If you like light fantasy mixed with urban, police action and a kickass female protagonist, this is a good pick.
