What a life...
What a life David Hicks had! Such an interesting person. If you're looking for great photos, and/or to learn about Hicks' work, the photos are a school in themselves. I realized that he invented so many things that are now standards of modern decorating. We probably all owe him a debt of creative gratitude. without even knowing it, his ideas were so good, so modern and practical that they are integrated into so many interiors.
Just an alert though, the writing is very strange. Obviously the book is written by his son, who writes about himself in the third person, such as "David's son Ashley..." And he refers to everyone by their first name. Very strange, and he's not always discreet (poor Prince Charles, let's just hope HE has a sense of humor!).1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.
