I absolutely read this out of order, accepting the book without realizing it was the 15th in the series. I do NOT regret doing so. Daylighters, I assume, pretty much picks up where Fall of Night finishes. as stated this is the first book in the series I've read lol.
This story follows the series' ragtag group of heroes, Claire, Eve, Shane, and Michael, for one last endeavor...To save Morganville as well as its resident vampires from the clutches of the Daylight Foundation. Certain sentences, phrases, and dialogue easily remind the reader of previous escapades with the Daylighters and their nefarious founder Rhys Fallon from earlier books.
I particularly liked how even though this book was the 15th in the series, I didn't find myself overly lost since I haven't read the other 14 yet. If anything, this book absolutely has me wanting to pick up Glass Houses and read the story as it should be read, from the beginning.
I truly thank Penguin Publishing for giving me the chance to review this spectacular work and I look forward to seeing what else what this author can come up with.
I give this book 5 of 5 paws

    Cedarfrost

A handsome brown and bronze tom padded in. "May I join? My name is Cedarfrost, and I am looking for a mate." He meowed calmly, his icy blue eyes sparkling. His long litle build told you that he was of WindClan decent.
