    An Inspirational Book

Dazzle the Dinosaur, by Marcus Pfister, is my favorite children¿s book because it is adventurous. It is also well written and has essential elements. Within this children¿s book there is a plot, a conflict, a resolution, a climax and a moral. Among these essentials there are many other items that a good book needs to entertain a child. The title of the book is a simple and appealing title for a children¿s book, but it could be a little more complex, which would make it more interesting. The illustrations in the children¿s book are wonderful, and that¿s what is mostly needed to catch the reader¿s attention in a children¿s book. In this children¿s book, there are glittering, eye-catching spines on Dazzle. A moral is always a good way to teach the reader a lesson no matter what age they are. Dazzle and Maia go on an adventure and learn the true value of friendship. They will also learn if you go after your goal and put enough effort into it, you can accomplish it. The words that Pfister chose to put in this children¿s book are easy enough for children to understand, but there are words like ¿instinctively¿, which the reader may not understand, so that may complicate the book a little bit more. Although this book has some negative points, it is still a wonderful children¿s book and may help to educate the reader. All of the children who read this book will walk away with the knowledge of the many things that this book teaches.

    A good pick...

Pifster's 'Dazzle' is definitely one of the better dinosaur books available. The plot is fast paced and imaginative, and the shimmering artwork is integral to the goings-on, not merely decorative. Pfister has used the reflective illustrations in Rainbow Fish (1993) before, and once again successfully included them in his prehistoric tale. The popularity of the subject matter among young children, coupled with the unusual look of the pictures, will make this a popular book among children.
