Dead Embers picks up immediately from where Dead Radiance finish

Dead Embers picks up immediately from where Dead Radiance finished. And trust me it was heart wrenching!

This book takes a darker turn than book one and it makes the book. The dark undertone takes nothing away, but gives everything to the plot. This book takes you further into the world of Norse Mythology and takes you on a thrilling dark twisty ride that will leave you breathless and on the edge of your seat.

The romantic parts of the relationship are now flowing a bit easier and are more believable. This is a great follow up to book one! This book is full of emotion and action that anybody who likes books based in mythology will love! A Solid 5 stars!

    more from this reviewer

"Dead Embers" picks up right where Dead Radiance ended

"Dead Embers" picks up right where Dead Radiance ended which I was happy about since I didn't want to miss anything. This is another one of T.G. Ayers books that you just can't put down until your finished. In "Dead Embers" relationships are developing nicely and emotions are flying about. Of course as T.G. loves to do, we have another cliffhanger ending. Highly recommended for all supernatural, paranormal, thriller fans! *5 Stars*

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this story, although I had to wait. But now I want Book three, because OMG – what an ending!

Bryn struggles to cope without Aiden by her side, but after a couple of forays out into the real world, she is given the opportunity to provide the cure for Aiden and also Siri, the Nidhogg’s daughter. She must enter the dwarves lair to obtain the ingredients. While there, she discovers that she can’t trust everyone.

When she finally gets the cure, Aiden and Siri are both made well, and the next mission begins, to find the missing Brody, whom they believe is in a mansion in a remote part of the US. Little do they know what secrets the mansion holds.

I love Bryn, her self doubts and everything about her make her a teenager struggling with not only life, but the afterlife as well. She was born a Valkyrie, unlike others.
The relationship between her and Aiden is developing well, even though they aren’t in a conventional relationship – they been apart longer than they have been together!

I can’t wait for the next instalment – when does it come out???

    Bryn kicks butt !!!!

My review of Dead Embers (A Valkyrie Novel Book 2 ) by T. G. AYERS

    Rating 5*****

This book was provided free from the author in exchange for honest literary review.

Bryn is adjusting to life in Asgard. She and Sigrun have developed a bff type relationship and she is earning her own level of respect there. Only thing is Aidan is still gravely ill from the poison obtained from Loki. Things only remained calm on Asgard for a moment however. It seems someone of something is poisoning the new warriors prior to harvest. Without the new recruits, tue looming war is all but lost. Bryn has to dig deep and learn who to trust to not only save the man she loves but all of our lives as well.

Usually in my experience if the first book is awesome then I usually am let down on book two. So not the case here. Bryn is amazing. The book itself is long, but awesomely so. No dragging on or nonsense words, but instead full of non -stop action. We see different sides of the characters emerge and new loves found as well. Bryn's softside is endearing. She cares so deeply for everyone. And no matter what the task at hand, she is just so strong. I am also won over by the Gods reference in this book. Love how those stories are linked with this one....I am ready for the next one!!!
By the way....there's a absolutely dreamy man by the name of Thor who makes an appearance here......sighs

Wow, wow, wow!! I loved Dead Radiance so when I was asked to read Dead Embers , well of course I had to jump at the chance! I am thrilled I did because I totally loved it!

Dead Embers picked right up where Dead Radiance left off. Bryn seems to have a lot more depth to her and you really become connected to her as the story progresses. Bryn goes through so much and I feel she comes out a much stronger character because of it. She slowly becomes the leader she needs to be. There was very little romance but you do not miss it because of the non-stop adventure that was going on.

Dead Embers is one of those books that you will have a hard time putting down. Then to end it on such a cliffhanger!! I am totally looking forward to the next installment of this wonderful mythological adventure series!
