The marker wants to help us.
It’s hard to know what to expect from a book based on a video game, the pedigree for such things doesn’t leave much room for hope. But after falling in love, hard, with the Dead Space games I came away with a heavy appetite for that world and it’s fiction, especially the mysterious religion at it’s center, Unitology. This book concerns itself with the founder of Unitology, Michael Altman and the beginnings of the church itself. I was pleasantly surprised to find out, not only how well the book is written, but how different this story is from what I was expecting, especially the character of Michael Altman himself. It’s very cool how Altman’s relationship with the budding church is twisted, setting the seeds for the first Dead Space game. Clearly, this book is not a mere cash-in on a popular property, but instead a serious and legitimate expansion of its’ lore. Fans will dig it.

    I love it!

I'm a huge fan of the Dead Space videogames and I love the storyline as well. So I decided that I really wanted to read this book to get the story of how it all started before everything turned into a nightmare on Aegis VII or on the Ishimura. I love it! I have a hard time putting it down and would definitely recommend it to any fans of Dead Space.

a must read for all fans of the series

i wasn't able to put it down. This book does justice to the series of deadspace and as a prologue done very nicely. Their is no conflicting fiction like in the resident evil series. This books great in all aspects if you like horror in general or are a fan to the series this is a must read. i read this on my nookcolor and i am very pleased with the product and the book. another book for this series is currently being made and it looks like another good book (graphic novel..100 or so page comic book).
