DEAD TO YOU left me breathless.
What would it be like to be kidnapped as a child and then find your way back to your family almost a decade later with no memories of them or your life before? McMann explores this and the raw emotions of a teen who suffered abuse and neglect before being dumped at a group home by his so-called caretaker. DEAD TO YOU is a raw, emotional and even sexy story about a boy in turmoil, and has such vivid and heartbreaking characters that I couldn't put it down until the very end that left me completely breathless. Also, I have to say that I loved Gracie so much-probably more than I've ever loved any secondary character before. She provided some much-needed relief when the story kept ratcheting up the tension and suspense. Great job - another winner from Lisa McMann.

Dead To You
After being abducted at a young age Ethan returns to a family and a town he does not remember. To most its a miricle for his return, to others its impossible. The book was very amazing in the way the main character is very transparent and you can feels he's pain and struggle of his life under the care of his abductor who abandoned him and returning home.

Really enjoyed this book. Read the Wake Series and wanted more. Being a Mom of 5 boys I could feel the hope and joy the Mom felt and then the heartbreak and devastation. Excellent writing!

I'm a fan of Lisa's work and so was really looking forward to this one, and I wasn't disappointed. It isn't an easy book to read, but that's the beauty of Lisa's novels; she doesn't hold back. My heart broke for Ethan and his story left me thinking long after it was over. -

Khals review
*SPOILERS* Well, it was an okay read but the plot was sort of predictable. First of all, the family 'reunion' was so off I was suspicious from the start. Secondly, not remembering anything about your old family, not even how your old room used to look or how you used to hate that old dog, is very strange. Third, the fact that he had learned everything about his 'family' from off some website was even more strange. Fourth, when they asked him how he found them if he didnt remember them, he never gave a clear cut answer. It was just some kind of 'feeling' that a family was waiting out there for him. Ridiculous. At the first mention of that 'feeling' I figured right of the bat that the guy was sick, abused and ran away from home so he could find a new family that lost a son and could love him. Since I figured everything out, the ending wasnt really a twist for me. I feel bad for the kid though, all he wanted was a home. 3.2 stars. If you really liked this, I suggest you read a book called Choker. I dont remember the author but the cover has branches all over it and has the word Choker in the middle. Its pink also.

I did not like this book at all. I was easily bored by the middle of the book and by the time it picked up, it was almost finished. The ending was pointless and just left you wondering why you even bothered to read it. I would not recommend this book.

Not the best ending....
Sucks you in with a great premise but, I really dislike the 'twist' at the end. You know there's not gonna be a 2nd book either, as this is just one of those books designed to twist in your gut and make you think of it long after you finish. I shoulda stopped 5 pages before the end, lol. Probably wont recomend it, but it was an entertaining way to spend a few hours.

Great read!
Very good book. Quick easy read, that you have to force yourself to put down. The ending was abrupt and it ended too soon. Great characters that you immediatly develop feelings for..

Overall, I was pretty disappointed in this book. Right from the get-go, you know that something is wrong with the entire reunion scenario, you just don't know what. Through the whole book, you are both rooting for the kid to regain his memories and become happy again and, at the same time, you know that something is off just enough that it's not going to happen. When the shoe finally fell, I just basically felt bad for the kid's "family." They didn't deserve that. On the other hand, I didn't hate the kid because I don't think he meant to hurt the family. He obviously had a terrible life and subconsciously created this world in which he would have a better life. The whole scenario was a lose-lose for everyone.

Could not put it down!
I loved this book! Such a page turner! I read Lisa McMann's Wake trilogy, which I loved, and I was really excited to hear that she was coming out with a new book. Could not believe the twist, and I didn't even see it coming! Does anyone know if this book is the first of a series?

Amazing!!
I loved the book I finished it in two hours. The plot was perfect through the entire book. However it ends with a cliff hanger. It makes me wonder if she will write a second book.

Great Read
The book was a good quick read. It held my interest even though it was a little predictable towards the end. I will read more books from this author.
