Blood Fallen, Chapter One: Changes, part two ~LightBlood

I was just starting to scrutinise his face when he began to talk again, in a deep, gruff voise, deeper than it was before. He also stepped forward slightly and I raised my sword warningly.
"I have my reasons," he tells me evasively, all emotion leaving his face, leaving his black eyes boring into me. Wait, black eyes? They were green moments ago, I thought questioningly, then felt a sharp pang in my head & my sight blacked out. I thought I heard a familiar voise warning me no in my head, but I didn't even know what was happening, nor who the voise belonged to. When I could see again moments later, everything had a more crisp look, as if my sight was enhancwd. I looked at Xavier & he shrunk back, suddenly & truly scared of me.
"Your eyes," he says, shaking and stepping back, hitting the tree once more. "They were right." He shook his head in wonder. "You really are one of us."
I look down at Xavier's injured leg as he moves around. Well, it was injured. I saw a glint of gold before it disappears into thin air from his leg. "Who were right," I ask, stepping forward menacingly & holding my sword out t his stomach.
Xavier simply laughed, his green eyes shining once more, leaving me to think I imagined the black eyes. "You'll see," he said simply, trying to push the sword away, but he pulled away his hand quickly, a big red welt forming as soon as he touched it, as if it burned. "Tainted," he growled. "Let go of everything amd everyone."
I look at him, not understanding. While I still stood my ground, I lowered my sword, distracted by his words. Quickly, he darts to the side before I could raise it once more. "We shall meet again soon," Xavier says mysteriously, moments before disappearing into the battle again, like a shadow merging with another shadow.
I shake my head, trying to clear my thoughts. I actually thought I felt a shift in my thoughts, but I also shook that thought away. I glance around me as if trying to remember what I was doing because I couldn't remember. I look to the trees & remember I was following someone, a boy. But who? What did they even look like? I couldn't recall much more than that so I turned away & looked at the battle, my vision dulling again, going back to normal. I felt a pain in my head; this one didn't dull, not even several minutes later as I stood & watched. Eventually, I turn once more & ran off, away from the battle. I felt eyes watching me from far off & following me, but I just kept going, ignoring everyone and everything. I soon reache the edge of the forest in what felt like moments later, but looked like longer, as the sun started to set in the west. The forest opened up to a meadow & I slowed to a walk as I entered it and looked aeound, seeing the grass shimmer from the light shining from the sun. I heard the crinkling of leaves, but when I turned to look, there was no one, nor anything near me.
Song of part: Somewhere I Belong by Linkin Park
Story at: 'dead' all results
~LB
