Letters between generations
Preferably for girls but deals with issues for boys too, Dear Granny is written for today's pre-teen AND the older role model in their life. Not an easy task to accomplish but Anne Adams does it with ease. Also great for teachers to read and create interactive role playing with their class, preferably grades 3-6. The letters take place over the span of a year. Touches on issues facing young girls and boys today and past generations as well. Informative without being preachy, the letters contain humor, guidance and insights into the lives of the main characters. You'll feel like you know Jordy and Granny before you finish reading this book. Should be read between an adult and a child together.
