Just rent this from the library.
This is my first Nan Ryan novel and was quite disappointed. To the author's credit, the story has a lot of potential. However, it is poorly written and the characters come out flat and one-dimensional. There are pages describing how great and witty and funny Suzanna LeGrande is, though there aren't enough scenes to prove this. The story is so fast-faced, it's almost comical. The hero Mitchell Longley comes out as being almost naive and quite boring. The idea behind the story is a good one. However, Nan Ryan requires a little more polish to make the novel effective for the reader, and the characters need more depth. Overall, 'Dearest Enemy' is a book that should be borrowed from the library (if you're curious) but is not for your personal collection. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
