This book is for any Bones/ Brennan fan. Brennan begins her quest to try and connect what seems to be random killings. No one believes that there is any connection and Brennan must follow the occult to try and connect these murders. While trying to piece things together, Brennan must deal with her love for her ex and the love of Ryan and also keep tabs on her mischevious sister Harry. The book keeps fans wanting more.

    Amazing!!

Dead Du Jour, was the first Kathy Reich´s novel I´ve read, and it was absolutly perfect, I used to never finish books, but with this one I stay up all night reading it......DeadDuJour is worth every penny and more, kudos to Kathy Reichs='

    Great book

This was a great book. I listened to it. The narrator did a great job as well. This was my first read by this author and will definitely listen the the next one.

If you like Fox's 'Bones', you'll love the original Temperance Brennan!

I recommend starting with Deja Dead (#1) and reading right on through, you won't regret it!

    Spellbinding

I have enjoyed reading this author. Keep in mind if you watch the Bones series there are going to be several differences in the books.

Death Du Jour (Temperance Brennan Series #2) Review

Death Du Jour is a very good book just like the first book in the series, Deja Dead. Death Du Jour has a very interesting plot where it is hard to guess who is involved and to the extent of their involvement until the end where everything is explained. It is very exciting and it keeps you on your toes. This book even delves a little deeper into the chemistry between Temperance Brennan and Andrew Ryan the Montreal police detective, which is good because in my opinion, every good book needs a little romance, right? All in all Death Du Jour is a great book and I recommend it to people who like murders and mystery, or even those CSI TV shows.

    Death Du Jour

Not quite as suspenseful as the first one but i still enjoy the book. I love Kathy Reichs books. I haven't read all of them but the 5 that have read have all been good reads.

    Couldn't put it down!!

I believe I have read four of Ms. Reichs' books. She is very good at what she does because she knows and lives the material. Of course this series is fiction but she knows the trade. She competes with Patricia Cornwell on the forensics and solving the crimes. I intend to read the rest of her series and keep up with her. This lady definitely deals with bones.

    Reichs at her best!

I absolutally loved this book. It is the second one I've read in the series and I love Reichs. She has a clever way of incorporating facts with fiction and I find it very intriguing.

    Death Du Jour

Temperance Brennan is one of my favorite characters. If you like detail, mystery, and a little romance, you will enjoy Kathy Reichs' writing.

    I Also Recommend:

    French Du Jour.

Reichs seems to make decreasing use of the French (Quebecois) background in each novel after the first one. And so, each subsequent novel loses some of its charm. The central character remains interesting and that is what keeps me hooked. I am not in the medical field and so I learn a good deal from each novel too and that is part of my reason for remaining interested int he series, as a whole. I like the way that Reichs develops a character from one of the previous novels in a subsequent novel. That method creates a sense of familiarity even as the plot changes, with eeach novel.

Since the TV show 'Bones' was based on Reichs continuing character, I looked forward to a good read. Once I got into to reading it, I put the TV show aside and just enjoyed a well written book. The plot twists and turns kept me reading.

Since the TV show was based on Reichs continuing character, I looked forward to a great read. However, once I got into the story, I forgot the TV show and just enjoyed a well written book. The plot twists and turns kept me reading.

    Good read!

I have enjoyed all of the books by Kathy Reichs. It took me a while to envision someone OTHER than the Temperence Brennan portrayed on the TV Show, but I have finally managed to separate the two. My only problem is that I want to read them all the time and finish them much too quickly!

Kathy Reichs Has Done It Again!!!!

I read the first book, Deja Dead and couldn't wait to get my hands on the second book! When I got the book I started reading..and well I just could not stop! I have found the third book, Deadly Desisions, and it looks as if it's going to be as good as the first two novels. If you haven't read this book, Death Du Jour, yet you'd better get reading because this book is almost as good as Deja Dead! So if you are searching for a good murder-mystery story, I recomend reading Deja Dead and then go after Death Du Jour and the rest of the series. Happy Reading!

    A reviewer

This book was very slow going. I am a speed reader so I read a book every day to every two days at most if I am really busy. This book took me 3-4 days to finish. I kept putting it down and was ready to start another book but I was hoping that it would have a good ending. Once you get about 4/5ths thru the book, it finally makes it readable. Till then it is very dry and slow reading. Not sure if I will continue the series if this is how they all are.
