    Super

I am not an avid comic book reader. I love many graphic novels and have once in a while read a few comic books. So I am not very experienced in the world of comics, but I thought Death of Superman was great. It was very well done. The artwork is fantastic and the story is very cool. The only flaw for me was the characters were not very developed. I know this is because there are hundreds of previous comics developing the characters of Justice League, Supergirl, and maybe Doomsday. But the only character I knew anything about was superman. So at times I was unclear of the emotions going on during dialogue of characters. For example, it is made apparent that Superman and JLA's Guy Gardner's relationship is a little "icey". However, they do not explain it. Also, what is doomsday???? However, overall I am very impressed with the quality of the comic. The last section, every page is a full page splash image. I think they could of toned it down for just the very climatic scenes, but it nevertheless shows the beauty of the artwork. The best part are the last few pages. It is well written and really draws emotion. Like I said, i am not an experienced comic book reader so I do not have that much to compare with. But for me, this was very very well done.

Can you read this without crying?

For those who beleived super heroes could never die comes this tale of determination and in the end sacrifice. I was actually one of the ones who read the original comic magazine of this and I already couldn't stop crying before I was finshed reading it. Jerry Ordway does a superb job writing this breathtaking and very emotional story. May god bless you and may you rest in peace, Superman.
