This is such a great book, the plot is much more intriguing than the first book and develops really quickly. I am trying to sneak in pages at every chance it is so hard to put down. the characters of the Black Dogs are new to me and the way they talk in the book cracks me up.The supernatural story line is very interesting and new to me. i think this book would really appeal to "Dresden File" fans as it is more sophisticated then some of the supernatural romance genre that is so popular now. The first book, Wide Open I also recommend, it started with a very cold, detached writing style. I realized as i got further into the story that the writing was becoming more warm and engaging as Hallie started opening up and I really appreciated the way it developed. This book has stayed true to the characters and the place and I hope there are many more books to come!

Will anyone lend this to me?

I really enjoyed the first one and would like to read this one. Can't afford it though, so if anyone is up to lending that would be great! Although, I actually haven't lent or borrowed before, so am not sure how you do it.

    Interesting concept

I enjoy a book with strong and unique characters and Deep Down deflinitely delivers. If you like a few ghosts and spirits to confound your protagonist, check this one out.

Wish there was a third book!

The first book, Wide Open, was a little remote and slow to hook you, but the plot was so different that I wanted to know more. I'm glad I did. I would have read it one marathon sitting if life would have shoved over and let me. I hope Deborah Coates does some more with the character Hallie. I want more.

I I enjoyed this book and read it in less than two days. The plot development was MUCH better than in the first book. In fact, in the first book you
could easily figure out the plot line and ending long before you should have been able to. In other words, you saw it coming miles and miles
away. I kept waiting for more depth to the characters, for twists, for some intrigue, but it just fizzled. It was ok for a mindless, quick read, one
that I would have gladly laid down had there been anything else to do. That was so NOT the case with this book! While some plot lines may
have been foreseen, certainly there were several twists and turns that allowed for mystery and made for an intriguing book! In fact, as long as
it is more like this one, I am anxiously awaiting another Hallie book! Great improvement and an interesting plot make this book an entertaining read!
