New age master keyboardist Steven Halpern began a special healing-music Brainwave Entrainment series of albums in 2010 with SLEEPSCAPE DELTA followed by DEEP THETA in 2011 (that album spent 27 weeks in the Top 10 on the BILLBOARD New Age Chart). Then came DEEP ALPHA in 2012 and it received a Grammy nomination for Best New Age Album, earned Zone Music Reporter Award nominations for Best Ambient Album and Best Relaxation/ Meditation Album, soared to #2 on the ZMR chart (and stayed on the chart for eight months), and went Top 5 on the BILLBOARD New Age Chart.

With that type of previous activity for these albums, you can imagine the excitement and anticipation for the series’ new album, DEEP THETA 2.0, which features Halpern on Rhodes electric piano and synthesizers joined by three top bamboo flute players. As with the previous DEEP THETA recording, this album contains subtle sounds in the background at a specific sine-wave or pulse-rate to scientifically assist the listener’s brain in either creative endeavors or quickly and easily reaching a meditative state.

Whether you want to take advantage of the brain-training and meditational relaxing attributes of the music, or just want to enjoy the nice keyboard-flute interplay, this music is worthwhile, top-quality, new age music.
