prayer = talking to and listening to God!

Superb! A book God used to change me! This book does not automatically make prayer as easy as pie, but it does offer a better perspective on what prayer is and its importance, as well as encouragement and challenges to make us want to talk with and listen to God. Here is a small selection of the main ideas I'm left with after reading this book: Reminds Christians to always be listening for God's voice because it's much easier for someone to hear something if he or she is listening for it (pg 98). Prayer is not a chore! Is it a chore to spend time with your friends? Prayer is simply spending time (hanging out) with God. Prayer should not be based on emotions but on choice--choose to pray! (pg 92) There are many more things to be learned and applied from this book, so if this strikes your fancy (and it should! :) 1 Thess 5:17) check it out!

    Excellent Guidance on Christian Prayer

Shouldn't prayer be one of life's great pleasures? Practical, accessible, and genuine. This book actually changed the way I pray.
