    Sharks Are Sharp!

I loved Demon Fish because I learned alot about sharks. I like the information about sharks being seen as gods in some cultures. This book is well researched. I learned that sharks are an endangered species. It surprised that sharks are such sought after fish. Jaws is also mentioned in this book. This book took me on a trip around the world. This book is a must read for ocean, science, and ocean lovers.

Afraid of sharks? Read this book and be afraid of humans!

I have been a shark enthusiast my whole life. It's been hard as a woman to love such a "ferocious" animal, since all my friends liked puppies and bunnies.
I read this book while traveling in South Africa, and was very interesting to see this nation's take on this wonderful species, along with reading excellent material from this book.
If you ever feared sharks, this books will make you realize it's not them you should fear, but humans. It was sickening to learn how much mankind it destroying nature.
    A must-read.

This will be a really short review because this is the type of book that someone will either want to read or immediately dismiss because they aren’t interested in sharks. And although I could spend hours upon hours trying to convince you why sharks are so important, I won’t do that here.
So, with that said, I love this book! The author made sure to cover all sides of shark hunting, demonstrating its importance to fishermen and different local economies and also why it’s harmful to the oceans to continue such practices. The book is written more as a novel than a non-fiction piece and the folklore surrounding sharks is told in a way that does justice to their mythical powers. As a shark lover, I was already pro-shark, but now I understand how and why some cultures see sharks as gods and how hunting them is an integral part of their way of life, which adds a whole new aspect to my respect for them.
