An excellent thriller!!
I normally read Rendell's Inspector Wexford series, but the plot of this one lead me to take a chance. I was not disappointed!!! A satisfying novel describing the pedantic sad little life of a murderer, who on the outside is a repressed, uptight obsessive compulsive. The writing was so realistic that it made me wonder how many other murderers walk around free as no-one would ever suspect them of such heinous behaviour. Well worth reading.
