An addicting page turner with non-stop action!
Demonized was more fun than a day at Six Flaggs! I read it almost as fast as the speed of light, at times pausing to gasp or laugh hysterically. The main character is a witty, alcoholic, and possessed PI. The lady cop is smart, sexy, and tough as nails. Enjoyable indulgence! Highly recommend. Was this review helpful? Demons and Witches and a PI
In Demonized Ethan is dealing with what happened to him during his time in Shoregrave with Yasmin Stoker. You know when the story opens with a dead hooker in a bathtub full of ice that this isn¿t an ordinary story!!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Ethan is battling a sort of demon possession from the cacodaemon who jumped in him in Afterlife. Yasmin just couldn¿t remove it completely. And worse yet, this demon is a sick psycho of a demon, filling Ethan¿s mind with horrible images and basically declaring war on him for the most part. Sometimes he even manages to control Ethan enough to speak out loud.
Then Banning gets another case, a missing person case. Seems to be a lot of those going around for this poor guy. Will he solve this case before the demon destroys him?
As with everything else I¿ve read from Naomi Clark, I loved this book. I love that it¿s all related. This book had action, magic, supernatural, crime, sexual attraction and even some sexual deviancy. And a dog named Mutt. Mutt is as big of a character as anyone in this book and I just loved him.
I find Ethan Banning is an attractive character. I don¿t mean physically, because let¿s face it, a lot of the time he does appear to be a bit down on his luck (in his own words). But he is rich with personality. I love his wit and off sense of humor, even in the worst of situation. He is smarter than the average man, and he has a big heart even though he wouldn¿t readily admit it. He can be a huge jerk, but he's a stand up guy
This book was a real page turner for me, I couldn¿t wait to find out what happens next, and I still can¿t. If there turns out to be a #3 in the Ethan Banning Files, I will definitely read it. If you decide to read this book, be sure to read Ungrateful Dead and Afterlife first. It¿s not really required, but it sure does enhance the whole experience.
