    Good, not great.

    There's a lot of useful information here. In fact, after reading it, I started my own supplement regimen and have to say I've seen some improvement in mood. The only reason I don't give it higher marks is because there are some newer books on the same subject that are a bit more informative and have updated research. That being said, I recommend this book to people battling depression who want to supplement or replace a pharmaceutical therapy.

    Helped me seek help

    This is a helpful book because it helped me to see how much physical help I needed. I have been on Zoloft for 12 years and unable to even begin to taper off. After reading this book, I consulted a naturopathic healer who did lab tests and discovered that I have an autoimmune disorder that doctors never found. Now I am being treated with natural supplements and have decreased my Zoloft down by two-thirds.
    I do think it would be too difficult to carry out the suggestions from the book by myself, without the help of a professional.

    This book changed my life!!!!!

    This book changed my life! I spent years going to the doctor trying to figure out the weird symptoms I was having: nausea, sensitivity to light, sensitivity to noise, nighmares, depression, worry, fear etc. My doctor was perplexed and he did not relate the symptoms. But after reading this book and getting on the nutritional regime suggested, the symptoms disappeared within weeks! And to think I suffered all those years needlessly! I had a genetic vitamin deficiency! It's great to feel good! Get this book! It's a book that anyone who is suffering from depression, alcoholism, addictions, emotional issues, anxiety, anger etc can be helped by!

    May be helpful for mild depression

    This book does have the feel of a late night infomercial, filled with statements to pep you up and get you going. I actually don't think that's such a bad attitude for the author to have, especially if the reader is depressed and trying to recover. When you get past the hype, what's left? Well, it does have a good deal of dietary and lifestyle adjustments that will be of use to many people. There is definitely substance here. However, if you suffer from moderate to severe depression or anxiety, I doubt that the suggestions in this book will be enough. Sometimes medication is necessary for complete recovery. Nonetheless, worth a read regardless of the severity of your depression or anxiety.
