Every Person In The U.S. Should Read !
This book should be pushed on the people in Washington. All I have to say. Bob Baer does know his stuff having worked for the CIA for many years and been in the Middle East for long time. Its a must read, and it will take you on a rollercoaster and open you up to the Iran you dont know.

The Devil We Know is an excellent source for information about Iran.
The book was very illiminating about the real power of Iran in the Middle East.

A Must-Read for anyone interested in Middle East policy
This is a compelling analysis of one of the major players on the world stage. For those who have read much about the Middle East there is not a whole lot of new information here, but Baer has the ability to gather strings of information and weave them together into a coherent tapestry. Iran has been growing as a regional power. This will continue and there is pretty much nothing we can do about it. This raises serious questions about how the USA should proceed. Baer is insightful and fact-based. There is no screaming here about islamo-fascists, but a reasoned view of an extant reality. He offers interesting suggestions on how we can best cope with the inevitable change. As a former (can one really ever be a completely former?) spook, with deep experience in these parts of the world, his analysis carries additional weight. One may agree or disagree with his take, but it is an informed and compelling one. This is a must-read.

reading the book, I came away with a better understanding of the difficulties for dialogue between the US and Iran. Not only does Baer provide much needed information, but he
also writes in a clear, effective manner. I recommend this book to anyone I talk to who
wants to know more about Iran and its potential as a threat to the world. -

A dangerous alarmist!
I do not wish to read this book until I have assurance that Baer has first read 'The Israel Lobby'
