I was hooked at Promise, devoured Purpose, and quickly dove head

I was hooked at Promise, devoured Purpose, and quickly dove head first in Devotion after reading Genesis. I don't have a favorite amongst them, but Devotion has to be the most plot-twisting, did-not-see-that-coming, whodunnit book of the series. I enjoyed learning along side Alexis as she learned more about her new world with the Amadis and watching her come into her strengths. The book was well paced and the plot sucks you in. However, I can't bring myself to give this five stars because both Alexis AND Tristan annoyed me so much towards the end of the book. After all they've been through thus far, I would have thought they'd get over their own insecurities and really trust in their love for each other. I literally rolled my eyes at Tristan's self-sacrificing dialogue and wanted to slap Alexis as she almost succumbed to her alter ego Psycho-Alexis. For me, their strength of their love for each other should have squashed those insecurities (idealistic I know and probably would have made a less interesting read, but it's my review so I get to say what I want). Nevertheless, I'm still hooked. I adore Dorian and look forward to Charlotte's and Owen's character development.

Books like these are the reason that I barely watch tv, and I adore this one because my imagination gets to take over and live in the moment.

This is the third book of the series. I have to say, although I loved it, I didn't love it as much as the other two. I was frustrated with the whole traitor thing. I guess I don't get how someone would live for so long as Amadis and then turn to the dark side. Also, it really aggravated me that Tristan wouldn't be honest with Alexis about what the faerie told them about finding Bree. After everything they have been through, you'd think they would be open books to each other by now. Outside of these issues, though, I did really enjoy the story. I just love all of the characters in this series. Can't wait to read the 4th book.

    Great series

I have really enjoyed this series. Kristie brings in a new issue in each book to break your heart and keep you reading until the end in hopes of an absolution. I thought this would be the last book, so I was both disappointed and excited to find out it was not the end of the Alexis and Tristan's story. I am sad I have to wait for another book, but happy their story can go on a little longer. It is a little more risky than I usually read since I am a lover of young adult books. These are definitely adult books, and not for your teenagers.

    Devotion

Devotion is the third addition to the Soul Savers series by Kristie Cook, and I have to admit that I had a really hard time getting into this book. I just couldn't form a connection to the first half of the story, but the second half of this book really pulled me in. Kristie took me on so many twists and turns that I was kept on the edge of my seat. To me, the mystery within Devotion was the best of the series yet; and for the most part, this book was fast paced. Alexis and Tristan must face one of the hardest betrayals of their lives; and it's causing distrust between not only themselves but within all of the Amadis people. Secrets surround everyone and it's hard to know who can be trusted and who will only cause more trouble for Alexis and Tristan. There is a traitor among the Amadis, and in order to save their love, Alexis and Tristan must fight to keep their family together.
