Good VG novel

The author is very well versed in the art of fantasy writing. The game references within the story also give Diablo fans a deeper connection to this wonderful fantasy world.

Now, THIS is more like it!
Finally, Blizzard's best selling, action/RPG 'Diablo' game franchise spawns the novel it deserves. Richard Knaak not only nailed the feel of Sanctuary--the world of 'Diablo'--but he also breathed wondrous life into its denizens.

A richly textured, deeply engrossing read, 'Legacy of Blood' is much more than the archetypal fantasy novel. A tale of the classic struggle of good versus evil, 'Legacy of Blood' plays itself out against an extraordinarily well-crafted and recognizably human backdrop. Characters are fully developed, their motivations multi-layered and oftentimes shadowy; carefully paced plots and sub-plots bend, twist, and turn on themselves, while significant revelations are never disclosed in advance.

Richard Knaak also does a masterful job of incorporating the well-established characters and creatures of the 'Diablo' game series into 'Legacy of Blood.' I am a hardcore 'Diablo' player, fellow purists, so take it from me: if you are buying this novel because it is a 'Diablo' tie-in, you will not be disappointed. 'Legacy of Blood' is a 100% improvement over the laughable 'Diablo: Demonsbane.'

In the hands of a lesser writer, 'Legacy of Blood' could have been a disaster. But, thanks to Richard Knaak's skillful handling of the material, not only do fantasy fans now have a whole new world to explore, but fans of the 'Diablo' game series are finally treated to a spellbinding novel that they may take enormous pleasure in.
