Diamond in the Rough

Homage to great Diana Palmer.

It was nice to read a new Diana Palmer story filled with all the reasons why I fell in love with her books. And it was nice not to see the "dish" used even one time to describe some guy's looks! Sassy and John fit well together, even if he kind of walked in and took over before she knew it. He was a kind hearted man and she needed just that! Great read.

Absolutely Great Reading!

Once again Diana Palmer has come through with a truely great story. You don't want to miss this one, it is well worth reading along with the other recommended books below! Truely one of the greatest authors I have enjoyed. Her writing talents are unending!!

Good read

Good read and a quick read. The book was interesting enough to not want to put down.

Easy read

this was a very simple easy read I loved the characters

I enjoyed this book. like all of hers ifound it fun.

Sweet but done

I liked the story because I was in the mood for something short and sweet. I read it in a day. Sassy is poor girl with a warm heart and not afraid of working. John a millionaire with his head on straight. If you are in the mood for a simple romance this is it.

My only complaint is that this is a plot pattern used a number of times by this author, so if you want something different this isn't it.

Simple pleasurable reading

This book was very simple, but made you feel so good --full of hope. There was a storybook type of happy ending and in this day and time we need happy endings. I hope this author contnues with the Medicine Ridge series. The characters are quit interesting. I would definitely buy a book in this series.

Not up to par for Palmer

I was disappointed in the characters, the plot and the whole book in general. The cover was the best thing about it.

Diamond in the Rough

Diana Palmer once again writes her novel using older cowboy, younger (usually uneducated) woman scenario. This is a pleasing read, but not up to the quality of some of her books. I have actually read every book she has written, including those under her pseudonyms. The Harlequin formula she uses nearly always has the same formula - rich, older worldly man, poor,younger sheltered woman with overwhelming family concerns, antagonist who sometimes harasses woman, happy ending. While this formula is predictable, it usually supplies a book that is fun to read.
