GREAT BOOK to have on Hand

In this world where we think we should all look like Kate Moss, have a 24 inch waist, and fit in a size two, the authors of this book make a great attempt to get us to see ourselves in a positive manner even if we don't fit into what we think is an "ideal" look.

This book is not about dieting (because, according to the book, Diet's don't work), it is about being able to listen to your body - feeding yourself with foods your bodies crave, eating when you are hungry, not gorging yourself, and listening to your body's internal clues as to whether you truly are hungry. It is about feeling good about yourself, regardless of what the scale says.

I love this book so much. It sits at my bedside and I frequently go back to it to re-read multiple sections. This is a book that will help you re-train yourself on how you should eat based on your body, as well as feeling good about yourself. In each section there is also an activity to do to help you on your path to becoming a Diet Survivor.

    Would definitely recommend this book!

    Very helpful

This is such a practical book. The exercises and the quotes are so useful. I read the book from cover to cover and then went back through and worked the lessons. Seems like a lot of us can be helped by this no nonsense approach, Thanks Judith and Ellen.

This book tells you simply why Americans are fatter than ever. We diet too much! Our bodies can't handle that without getting fat. This book tells you how to reconnect with your food hunger so you don't overeat and how to accept that you will never resemble a super model!
