My wife got me this cover with my Nook and it is perfect. My mother and sister got Kindle's and both of their covers are garbage. My sister's has a thick padded cover and a small leather strap to secure it which sounds nice, but the cover doesn't completely fold around the back so she has to hold it wide open all the time with the leather strap dangling out. My mother went so far as to spend over $100 on a designer case for her e-reader and although the cover will fully fold back, it is stiff and you have to vice grip it to keep it back. THIS cover, on the other hand, will fold all the way back with ease so it is just like holding the Nook by itself without a cover. Also, I have pets and the screens on e-readers tend to get dust and skin and pet hair all over them and this cover has a couple little slots in the cover for notes or, it you are me, a lens cleaning cloth. One bad thing about an e-reader is that fingerprints and smudges on the reading screen will probably drive you bananas. It does me. Having a lense cloth handy is essential. This a great product and as an added bonus it is the least bulky cover I have seen as well.Show Less

Nice Exterior!

I love the exterior but the inside is already flaking off. I would not buy again because of that. Shame because the outside is so nice. Save you money inside won't last.

    Protected My Nook

I had just received my nook a day before I was involved in a head on motor vehicle accident. On impact my nook and I went flying! Thankfully I had my nook in this cover. After the accident the 2nd thing I went looking for was my nook. After I located it my nook was fine, not a scratch on it. After returning home for the hospital I turned it on and it was working fine. The cover protected my nook after taking a 65 mph head on impact! Great cover, very comfortable to hold and certainly will keep your nook secure.

Well crafted cover with a nice touch (real leather).

Well crafted cover with a nice touch (real leather). It folds back well (watch out for the 'sinclair covers' they bend less easy). The Dillane Plaid looks good too. Certainly worth the money!

    Perfect Match

I finally got my Nook and was suitably impressed. When I opened the box for the cover, I was impressed with its elegant look. The leather and soft interior make it look and feel expensive, yet its price very reasonable. My grandchildren think it looks "Awesome". I agree.

    Classy Classic

The Dillane Plaid cover is an excellent purchase in my opinion. It has a very simple understated classic and classy styling, is extremely functional and is much cheaper than many of the other available designer covers. The cover can be folded back behind the Nook, but I prefer to open and hold it much like a book retaining that kinesthetic feel. Some other reviewers complained about the cover being easily scratched, but I have not found this to be the case and I carry my nook around in my backpack daily. Besides, a few minor scratches on the leather would only give it more appeal, much like a well worn leather bomber jacket. Others have disdained the elastic straps that retain the Nook at the top, but I have not found them to be distracting and they hold the Nook securely in place. The pockets on the inside of the front cover provide a convenient place to store some note cards (3 x 5 index size work nicely) or a small soft lens cleaning cloth. I use one to wipe fingerprints and smudges off the screen. One could even place a pen in the fold for note taking making the cover look like a daily planner. Why you would want to fool someone that way I wouldn't know, I am very proud of my Nook e-reader. I am a teacher and a number of my students have shown a great deal of interest in my Nook and have commented on the cool looking cover.

    Very nice cover

This is a very nice cover and reasonable price considering it is real leather. A nice conservative look compared to some of the other designer covers for much more that yell: "steal me!!"

    Great Cover, but 1 drawback

This is a nice quality cover with inside pockets and can fold back while using the nook.

    1 drawback though,
The front of the cover is not stiff enough to protect the screen. Will protect against scratches but not from excessive force so I wouldn't put anything heavy on top of it nor would I stick in a bag or backpack for fear of cracking the screen unless precausions are taken. To curtail this problem, I use the foam insert that came with the cover and place inside over the screen and use a rubber band to keep the cover closed before packing away for traveling.

    Very Nice

Wanted a sleek and attractive cover for my new Nook and I love this one. I prefer it to others, since I still want to "open" it like a book, instead of an envelope.

    Classy Nook cover

This Nook cover is a very nice addition to a Nook. The leather is soft to the touch and is the main reason I choose this cover. The interior is soft felt and protects the Nook well. It also has 2 small pockets and 1 larger pocket on the left hand side of the cover. I am happy with the build quality and would recommend it.

    To Each Their Own

In my opinion, this is the best cover for nook, offered. It keeps your nook nice, protected, and clean. It has pockets too! It's classic and sheek. I recommend it to all nook owners. And there was no long wait like for the designer nook covers. It's awesome easy to use and comfortable, whether you want to fold the front cover back or just leave it flapping. There is no strain on your hand.

Disappointed after one week of using

I loved this cover when it first arrived, and for the first week afterwards. Unfortunately the artificial material on the inside does not last. After one week the areas where my thumbs repeatedly contacted it are peeling terribly, and it looks really bad. The outside of natural leather is holding up very well, but you don't see the outside while reading. The manufacturer chose an entirely unsuitable material for the interior. Beware before buying - this will not last more than a couple of books before falling apart. The inside should have been made out of leather - just like the outside. I also want to mention that I am very careful about how I handled it - there was no abuse, no dirty hands while using it, etc. I suggest purchasing another cover. The advantage of this cover is that it is totally acceptable in appearance to my tastes when new.

    Nice Touch

I got this cover because it included pockets inside the front cover and it had a good reviews. I ordered it online (still not in stores) and it arrived in the time given. This cover feels good to the touch. The stitching is good even around the corners; it is well-made. The fit is not too snug so it adds some width (about 3/4-inch)to the Nook when the cover is closed. It's enough room to clip a pen to the inside spine of the cover, if desired. My nook stays in without using the elastic holds for the most part. I'm don't know how long the elastic will last before it starts to loosen -- that's my only concern. Otherwise it's a classy looking cover at a reasonable price.

    Great case.

Have yet to receive my nook, but I got the cover, and it's really great. Real leather, well made.

Definitely a good one to get.

    Dillane Plaid Cover-Mostly Satisfied

This is actually a very nice cover. The leather is of a good quality, and the pattern is very chic. The nook fits snugly inside the case while still allowing easy access to the touchscreen and the page buttons. The interior is nice and soft, and the pockets on the inside flap are great. The only problem I have had with the cover is that the corners keep curling up. I'm not sure what is causing this, because they were flat when I received the cover, and now they pretty much just stay curled. I have started laying the case on its face when I'm not reading, and so far that seems to be helping, but it's kind of obnoxious to have to do that. All in all, I do like the cover, and it serves its main purpose for me, which was to keep the nook safe while I drag it around everywhere with me.

    Great choice!

I love this nook cover! The sleek, black leather styling of this cover is professional- and classy-looking without being overpriced.

It is great for protecting the nook from scratches and bumps when carrying it in my bag and even for the occasional drop.

I like the pockets for holding notes, cards, etc. I looked at other covers that didn't have these pockets - and that was the deciding factor. I'm glad I went with the one with the pockets.

It allows acess to the USB and headphone ports and the power/sleep button with no restrictions - all of which can be used whether the cover is open or not.

There are only two things I would change: 1) Redesign the slot and straps that hold the nook in place to have the same classy look as the outside. 2) Make it easier to clip on a reading light. Currently, I have to jam the light clip down in between the nook and the back cover. Then I can't fold the front cover around completely. It is just kind of cumbersome when using my light.

Overall, this is a great product that I would highly recommend.

    Excellent Cover; Great Value

I just received my Dillane Plaid cover and am very pleased with it. The "plaid" pattern is created by stitching and embossed grooves, and creates a nice appearance, much like a business calendar. The cover is sturdy and has enough heft to provide solid protection. The Nook fits securely in the bottom channel; the elastic corners complete the secure attachment to the cover. The inner pockets are a nice touch. The ports are easily accessible. All things considered, I highly recommend this cover to anyone who wants an attractive, secure cover.

    Great Cover

This cover is well-made, has a nice "feel", and has 2 inside pockets for business cards and a larger pocket for paper or whatever. It is also attractive.

Product very well made and quality shows. The only thing, I would suggest is that it have a place to put your name and address.

The front of the cover for the Nook could have an embossed plate. That would look nice

    Protection Supreme

Paying allot of money for the Nook, you will want to take care of this product. In reading a number of product reviews on the many Nook covers available, this was the product for me. The convenience it offered in carrying my boarding passes and receipts on a recent trip made up for the higher expense over other cover models. The leather grain quality is very good, though after awhile the corners tended to turn in, which I contribute to humidity as much as from use, but it does what I hope it would, protect the product.
